This is how we do it

Certain members of the team (BRT and Chang) have left the vicinity of Alaska  in search of waves, tans and babes. I am sure they will return with tans and epic shots of waves, yet as far the last item goes.... lets just wish them luck. Ram and I (B$) are somehow surviving, although we both share the same feeling of abandonment. The first day was the hardest; luckily we had several romantic comedies to pull us through. We were in a constant mix of laughing and crying, often confused as to which we were doing at that time. The next day brought on a whole new set of emotions. We were angry, and felt betrayed. We had to prove we could survive on our own. So we went on a hike, quietly hoping that we would get lost. That would teach them right? Throughout the hike we discussed if we should turn doom/love into a sewing/quilting club, sang songs, jumped in the air, and forgot all of our bitter thoughts. It's amazing what a little mountain air will do; we started the hike on an emotional roller coaster- feeling like a young girl does when she has her heart broken for the first time. But by the time we got to the top we were hopeful and happy. Here are some pics that we took along the way. Enjoy...
(p.s. Speaking for ram and myself- we miss you chang and BRT, please come back. We didn't mean any of the things that we said)

 Gotta love doom slash love

"Hot Dog!" Said Ram

"Hey Ram! Get some!" said B Money

Summer Slackin

In order to be able to shred and travel all winter I make a few sacrifices during the summer. Unfortunately working 12 hour days doesn't leave much time for taking pics or posting media on the blog. The upside is I've been having a ton of fun in Valdez meeting cool new peeps.

I've been working for the past 20 days straight and am about to get a nice break... I'm meeting Chango out in Oahu for a week to capture some adventuring and surf shredding. Sorry there hasn't been anything up for a while. There will be a video and pics from Hawaii in a couple of weeks. Here are a few pics from my time in Valdez to tide you over. -BRT

the take over

The D/L's plan to take over the world has finally been placed into action. Of late, we swiftly took over the buttery fresh crew with nothing but brute force and extreme intellect. We're moving in and taking over faster than the swine flu. Rad shredders everywhere beware, you and your crew may be next.

Whittier rides again!

1:00 PM on memorial day and im like: "snowboarding would be fun" (really original i know) so i call up Trick and talk him into it. Turns out its the last day of snowmachine access in Whittier so we dragged the trailer out and met up with Matt and Trav. We brapped up above treeline to play in the main bowl and this is what we got down on:

cliff jumper action

all in all it was an awesome day. sun, snow, mountains, ocean, shredtime!

Oh our dearest Diego

Jim broke up with us last april, more than a year ago. Only now have we really accepted the fact he's not coming back. Its time for us to let go. You will remain in our hearts forever friend, or until next season.

Long weekend

Another epic adventure presented itself over the long weekend. Doom/Love decided that, in order to cover as much territory as possible, we should break into smaller groups. After counting off in twos we went our separate ways. I (Becky) got paired off with Ram, who had an itch to make it to Homer. The first day we traveled South and found our selves in a very crowded Clam Gulch. We loaded up our backpacks and trudged down the busy beach in search of a quiet sanctuary which we could call home for the night.

Enjoying the evening in Clam Gulch

Ram in Homer, just watching the world go by

Here I am, sitting and pretending that I don't notice that Josh is taking a picture.

On the count of 3... 1....2....

3! (I pushed the world down... with my mind)

Stay tuned for more stories and pics from the other group's adventure
