board riding

the boarding season is now in full swing. heres a few shred shots to feast your eyes on. enjoy

we were successful

the trip has long been concluded, but laziness has delayed any sort of update. so heres a few highlights about a month late.
•la libertad, el salvador- crowded surf town where josh got the ride of his life and ian had to battle a leashed monkey for his sunglasses
•our bumper mysteriously disappeared from our vehicle on the ride out of la libertad
•more karate kicks

•found a large beach where we were able to pull each other behind our car. totally awesome

•long hills=overheating=break time- southern el salv

•brendan continued to wow the locales with his quite cunning similarities to the great enrique

•headed to las flores to surf a popular point. Unfortunatly, there was no swell, all we were left with was a beautiful camp spot, great hospitality, great food, a little hassling from the local drunks and pretty colors in the sky. and some dogs peed on ian and tricks tent. that was funny.

•blew through honduras in a day, leaving only enough time for some cliff jumping with the locales into cow dung infested water and a stop at wendys

•brendan purchased an authentic robbers mask from a local at the honduras border
•at the nicaragua border they use typewriters. awesome.
•josh ran over a pig shortly after crossing into nicaragua
•stayed two nights in the vibrant town of leon
•multiple police were payed off for not having insurance, a fire hydrant and "triangles".
•got a most excellent day of surfing on a beach 15 minutes west on leon
•"why is that hot guy making out with that ugly chick" -brendan

•ian opted to stay back at the hostel and get his spray paint on. there was also a piece by the italian artist Blu in the hostel.

•searched the coast between leon and managua for surf- not much luck
•stayed a night in the very americanized managua (there was a TGIFridays)
•ran around a volcano south of managua.

•stayed in san juan del sur multiple nights. got lots of wierd vibs, a bandito sighting, a night of food poisoning and an overall good time.
•took a boat to a remote beach break and got smoked by a lot of waves and caught a few
•got some all time body boarding and a fun night session
•surfed playa maderas

•found a rope swing south of Dominical, Costa Rica. Diego managed to break it with the first swing. Luckily we were well prepared. Ian attached our rope to the tree and we were back in business
•josh won the style competition

•diego did backflips

•diego did more backflips

•after diego flipped this bridge, a local told us only crackhead swim in that water because thats were they dumped all the fish guts.
•more jungle exploration was done in quepos which included a crocodile sighting, a downpour of water droplets and hollering competition with some howler monkeys

•we were also lucky enough to see a merman

•the last day on the beach was spent in jaco. there was crowds of people, waves we werent well trained enough to surf, a killer sunset and a thief that liked stealing cameras from cars while people sleep in those cars, weak.

•more hills and more overheating

•the car was sold the day before the last two, ian and diego, left.

now we are all back in cold weather climates shredding our little hearts out. stay tuned for more epic adventures and radical snow pics from the winter in alaska.
