saturday

we tried going kite boarding, but we realized it was quite lame and that the vast majority of the clientele was made up of people that found inspiration from Creed (probably not, i just feel like making fun of creed, those silly bastards)

so we put together this 2 feature jib that was also quite lame (a photo guy came over and asked if he could take photos, but after witnessing one attempt, he left). oh well, it was KINDA fun.

ian and becks pulled out of the urban rail boarding session a little early to create a snow person

its bike season

hooray!

another day at the junkyard

another day was spent at the junkyard shoveling, creating and getting rad. three more shredable obstacles were created: a wall stall, a mini stepdown and a daredevil stepdown. ian did a years worth of shoveling to create a landing for his daredevil gap, but the finished product was well worth it.

a little wall stall slowly transformed after all the snow was pushed up for the mega stepdown landing
ram rockin n rollin the wall stall

becks and i took a field trip down to alyeska a few days ago. we walked around while hozer and hozers crew did some snow shredding. here is what we saw

yesterday was muy bueno

yesterday was fun. we got our day started bright and early at the crisp hour of 11 am. once motivated and caffinated, becks and i ran over to the closest mountain of snow. in anchorage theres designated dump spots for all the excess snow, due to the fairly large volume of snow we recieve, the piles can get quite large. unfortunately these piles also contain all the junk thats picked up with the snow; trash and lots of gravel (it started to smell bad once the sun started thawing out the mountain of snow). we set up a pretty excellent mini shred course, straight shot into cone ollie, then left turn, right turn, banked left turn into the money booter.

the landing off the money booter shot us straight into the muddy lot. this played a role in our lack of speed later in the day at the triple jump.

becks clocking some airtime

as the session at the neighborhood snow mountain was coming to a close, we were greeted by ian, wally and clint. they had bright aspirations of snow sliding on a real mountain, we followed suit and headed up to flattop. we headed straight towards the junkyard, where we were greeted with a beautiful opportunity for a triple jump. 2 hours later it looked like this.

after spending some time dialing the speed, we got down.

meanwhile wally shoveled his own obstacle to play with.

and then he went sliding through on his snow sled

oh, how the junkyard has given us so much to smile about.

in the past few weeks, we have spent time on other notable shred obstacles. we found a stream to cross.

brendan almost got wet.

embarrassed and ego hurt, he made up for it by crossing the stream in a more advanced manner.

days later we returned to the downtown jump. ian and associates put on a show while me and becks created a little jump through the trees.

the day ended with a few attempts at bridge crossing. ian and devon tried crossing the bridge on the railing, everyone else just walked across. devon was looking as if he was going to get it until he popped off a little early and crumpled up against the back side of the creek.

that was the ender of the day. we will be back.
